Friday, May 23, is the compliance date for inclusion of the prescriber’s national prescriber identifier (NPI) with provider claim transactions, including prescription and durable medical equipment and supplies. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has recently added a NPI-related FAQ that clarifies actions to take when the prescriber’s NPI number is missing. more
